The work explores the sensation of a fragmented self and the tension between different parts of our internal and external experience. In the painting, an expressive, gestural approach is combined with an abstracted human image. Layers of vibrant colors create a dynamic visual field in which the figure seems to emerge, superimpose itself, and dissolve. Energetic brushstrokes and contrasting forms reflect the unstable relationship between different states of consciousness and perception.

This work was created for the Nonfigurative.art exhibition and presented in June 2026 at the Modern Art Research Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine.
